Electronic Piano Gloves with Musical Fingertips

Lordy lord, what will they think of next!!  Electronic Piano Gloves with Musical Fingertips indeed...

However, all jokes aside, this ingenious and innocent looking pair of gloves allows the wearer to play tunes simply by pressing their glove coated fingers onto any smooth flat surface.  Each finger plays a different note and there are 8 different instrumental tones to choose from as well as 6 pre-recorded songs and 20 background rhythmns. What a great present for a musically inclined child.

These gloves will teach them the rudiments of playing the piano and to distinguish between different instrumental sounds as well as providing many hours of entertainment.  And, who knows, you may even discover that you have the next budding piano playing genius.

At a Glance...

◾Piano Gloves with Musical Fingertips
◾Plays tones of 8 instruments
◾6 pre-recorded songs and 20 background rhythms to inspire pianist’s apprentice
◾Unleash the artist inside your kids!

27 Ways To Make Your Groceries Last As Long As Possible

If the thought of chucking out fruit and vegetables because they've gone stale / wilted etc before you could get around to using them puts you off buying that extra bunch even though they're super cheap on special this week, then this article will be of interest to you....  Some really nifty ideas here too.

Birds of Paradise

Two words - just beautiful.

Found only in the impenetrable rain forests of Papua New Guinea, the Bird of Paradise no doubt owes its existence to the fact that its native habitat is the largest remaining area of untouched tropical rain forest left in the entire Asia Pacific region.  That alone is a terribly sad fact because PNG is not a very big country.

$20 million for a stamp - WOW

Back in 1856 when he produced a few 'contingency' stamps to use whilst waiting on a new supply to arrive from Great Britain, it's a safe bet the postmaster of  British Guiana could not have foreseen that nearly 160 years later one of them would be so rare that it would be in the running to fetch a cool $20 million at auction.

The rare stamp, from a one cent series the postmaster produced, is believed to be the only one from that series still in existence.  He also produced a 4 cent series but there are a couple of those known to be in collections around the world.  The stamp was owned by convicted murderer and millionaire John du Pont who died in 2010 whilst serving gaol time for the murder of wrestler David Schultz in 1996.

20% of the proceeds from the rare stamp are to go to a wildlife foundation Du Pont funded.

Cancer - not just a Zodiac sign....

Well, I knew I don't eat meat, drink alcohol or smoke for a reason :) but who would have thought the humble potato chip is apparently just as menacing !!

Everyday Things That May Give You Cancer - there are 8 of them in this video.  I take heart from the fact that the wording is 'may' and 'could'.  Bugger about the microwave popcorn though :(

How Many Horses??

Love the colours in this beautiful horse painting.  Love the subject matter too lol.

Count the horses - how many do you reckon there are in it??

Valley View in Yosemite National Park.

Wow, just awesome.

This photo of a beautiful valley was taken in Yosemite National Park in the USA in August 2013.

From out of the mists of yesterday into the clarity of tomorrow

A lovely photo of a walkway in the mist (or maybe, unromantically, it's smog).

As the memories of yesterday fade into the past we live for today and have a vision for tomorrow.
